Velislav Pavlov

Graduated from the New Bulgarian University in 2001 with a degree in Acting for Drama Theatre. In the same year, he made his debut on the stage of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre in the play "The Deer King" by Carlo Gozzi, dir. Marius Kurkinski. He is part of the National Theatre troupe and performs in the plays "Freedom in Bremen. Frau Gesche Gottfried" by Rainer Werner Fassbinder, dir. Grigor Antonov, Alexander Morfov's "Dom Juan", Alexander Morfov's "On the Edge", Françoise Sagan's "A Piano on the Grass", dir. Yuri Dachev and "A Capital(ist) Mistake" by Ödön von Horváth, dir. Ivan Panteleev.

Velislav Pavlov has had numerous roles in television and cinema. He played the lead role in the film "Omnipresent", which was part of the competition for the Academy Awards for Foreign Language Film. In 2017, he won the Best Actor award at the Golden Rose Festival for the film "Omnipresent".
