Yavor Valkanov

Graduated from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts "Kr. Sarafov" (NATFA) in 2020 in the class of Prof. Stefan Danailov. Valkanov’s professional stage debut was in 2017 at the Youth Theatre in Peter Shaffer's "Equus", two years later on the same stage as Romeo in "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare. At the Satirical Theatre, his role was Kai in "The Snow Queen".

Since 2020 he has been in the troupe of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, where his roles are: the Boy in "Three Tall Women" by Edward Albee, King Francois II and Henry Darnley in "The Colour of Deep Waters" by Olya Stoyanova, Porfiry in "The Brothers Karamazov" by Dostoyevsky, Angel in "New Land" by Ivan Vazov.

During this season, on the stage of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, you can watch Yavor Valkanov in the following performances: "Medea", "The Merchant of Venice", "Moby Dick", "The Hague", "Three Tall Women", "The Colour of Deep Waters", "New Land", " "The Follies of a Day", "Caligula", "The Tempest", "Vazov’s People", "Fiesta", "Horo" and "Mermaid".
