Boyan Kracholov graduated from the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts (NATFA) with a major in Drama Theatre Directing in the class of Prof. Ivan Dobchev, MA in Philosophy at the St. Kliment Ohridski University in Sofia and PhD in the "Drama Theater" department of NATFA.
His productions include "Invisible Cities", "This is NOT Hamlet", "The Mousetrap", "Monetata", "Anarcho-Clown", "Snippet of a Monologue/Not Me", "Leons and Lena", "Nirvana" and others.
His debut book – "Church of Dreams" was published in 2017, and in 2024 – the short story collection of "Traktat za kihaneto I nyakolko nerazpolozheniya".
He was awarded the ASKEER 2017 Award in the "Rising Star" category (together with Ivan Nikolov and Dimitar Krumov) for the performance "This is NOT Hamlet". The three are co-founders of the "Conclave" association.
In 2021, he was nominated for an ASKEER award in the "Contemporary Bulgarian Drama" category for the play "Monetata".
He was awarded the IKAR 2024 Award for DIRECTING – for the play "The Petrovs in and around the flu" by Aleksey Salnikov.
Since 2024, Boyan Kracholov has been director of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, where he staged the play " The Petrovs in and around the flu" by Alexey Salnikov.
