Valentin Balabanov

Graduated from the Higher Institute of Theatre Arts "Kr. Sarafov" in 1983 in the class of Prof. Elka Mihaylova. He has performed at the Drama Theatre-Blagoevgrad, Drama Theatre-Pazardzhik and the State Travel Theatre. Among his more important roles are: Kai in "Cruel Games" by Alexey Arbuzov, Bokov in "Mr. Balkanski" and Kosta Kirkov in "The Thessaloniki Conspiracy" by Georgi Danailov, Oedipus in "Oedipus Rex" by Sophocles, Valer in "Tartuffe" by Molière, Amon Ra in "Caesar and Cleopatra" by Bernard Shaw, the Actor in "The Art of Comedy" by Eduardo de Filippo, Hercules in "Hercules and the Augean Stables" by Friedrich Durrennmatt, Valentine in the "Two Gentlemen of Verona" by William Shakespeare. Since 2010 he has been in the troupe of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, where some of his roles are: Fredrickson in "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest" by Ken Kesey, David Yakovlev in "Life is Wonderful" by Nikolai Erdman, Mr. Floran in "The Imaginary Invalid" by Molière, Ekdal in "The Wild Duck" by Henrik Ibsen.
