Vasilena Vincenzo

Graduated from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts "Kr. Sarafov" (NATFA) in 2012 in the class of Prof. Margarita Mladenova and Prof. Ivan Dobchev. Before that, she graduated from the National School of Dance Art with a degree in Classical Dance. Her professional stage debut was at the Ivan Vazov National Theatre with the role of Samantha in Ken Kesey's "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". She has performed on the stage of Theatre-Laboratory Sfumato, the Nikolai Binev Youth Theatre and Drama Theatre "N. O. Masalitinov", Plovdiv, where her roles include Ilona in "Anatol" by Arthur Schnitzler, all the heroines in "Chicken" by Nikolay Kolyada, Elena Andreevna in "Wartime Visions", numerous roles in "Powder Keg" by Dejan Dukovski, Artemis in "Ulysses", based on texts from "Iliad".

Since 2020 she has been in the troupe of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, where her other roles are: Milea in "Exiles" by Ivan Vazov, Raisa Filipovna in "Life is Wonderful" by Nikolai Erdman, Korobkina in "Revisor" by Nikolai Gogol, The Cat in "The Blue Bird" by Maurice Maeterlinck, "Three Tall Women" by Edward Albee.  

She was nominated for the ASKEER Award 2019 in the category "Leading Actress" for her roles in "Chicken". In 2012 she was awarded the Best Foreign Actress Award at the "Arda Kapula" Festival in Turkey for her role in "Love. Andante. Staircase", based on texts by Lyudmila Petrushevskaya. At the International Theatre Festival "Othello2020 in North Macedonia, she was awarded for her roles in "Chicken" by Nikolay Kolyada.
