Hristo Petkov

He graduated from the National Academy of Theater and Film Arts "Krastyo Sarafov" in the class of Prof. Nadezhda Seykova in 2002. His first vivid theatrical roles he built at Sfumato Theatrical Workshop - Ivan Karamazov in the “Doctrine of the Death Shadow” after Dostoevsky, Jean in “Miss Julie” by August Strindberg, Sergei Efron in "Elabuga Station" on the adaptation of  Marina Tsvetaeva, Judas in "Lazarus and Jesus" by Emilian Stanev, Kochkarov and Poprischin in" The Dream of Gogol " by Gogol, Von Koren in "The Duel" by Anton Chekhov; Svidrigailov in "Svidrigailov" after "Crime and Punishment" by F.M. Dostoevsky. He is in the roles of Comforters in "The Gamblers" by Gogol and The Young in "Plebeian by birth" at Satiric Theater "Aleko Konstantinov", Georgi Benkovski in "Open a Wound"  by Boyan Papazov at the Theater of the Bulgarian Army.

Since 2012 he has been in the troupe of "Ivan Vazov" National Theater.

Among his most important roles are: Camilo in "The Winter’s Tale" by William Shakespeare, Captain Bagaev in "Moth" by Pyotr Gladilin, Judas in "The Last Temptation" after Nikos Kazantzakis, Hadji Stanio in "Observers" by Konstantin Iliev, Oscar in "The Little Foxes" by Lillian Hellman, Vlas in "Useless Men" by Maxim Gorki, Avram The Shuttle in "The Attempt to Fly" by Yordan Radichkov.

Nominations IKAR 2010 for the main male role for Kochkarov and Poprischin and IKAR 2019 for a minor male role for Hadji Stanyo in "Observers" by Konstantin Iliev. Hristo Petkov is popular with his roles in cinema and TV series.
