A young judge signs an act of registration of a suspected joint-stock company. This fact remains hidden from society, but it manages to shake the Underworld. Shortly after signing the document, which will grand an opportunity for the impunity of the six thousand acres of forest in the Balkans, the judge suddenly dies while searching for hidden gold in the yard of an old man's house. In the Underworld several Bulgarian national heroes gather to hold the newly represented accountable for his actions. In a position to be tried and held responsible for his earthly acts, the judge goes in offense, calls to the stand authoritative witnesses and with their assistance begins to prosecute his own prosecutors. The judicial system of the Underworld begins to collapse under the burdens of old and new sins, unsettled quarrels, buried deep and unconfessed personal and national secrets.
